Transport for London have confirmed that Route 15 will be converting to New Routemaster buses; in fact they already have hybrid buses in service. Their press release Transport for London (TfL) has today announced that the next bus routes to be served entirely by New Routemaster buses will be the 55 and the 15. A phased conversion of route 55, which is operated by Stagecoach, is underway and will be completed by the end of the month. The route runs between Oxford Circus and Leyton via Tottenham Court Road Station, Old Street, Shoreditch High Street, Cambridge Heath, Hackney Central and Clapton. A New Routemaster spotted on London Vehicle Finder     The New Routemaster first began operating on Saturday 17 th January 2015, but officially the new contract for Route 55, given to Stagecoach London, commences on the 28 th February 2015. Recently, London Buses route 137 received New Routemasters which officially started on 6 th December 2014. · Route 55 starts from Leyton Green and goes to Oxford Circus via Shoreditch and will be operated by Stagecoach London from Leyton (T) Garage. · Route 137 starts from Streatham Hill going to Oxford Circus via Chelsea Bridge and is operated by Arriva London from Brixton (BN) Garage. So far Route 137 and 55 is ' One Man Operation ' which means there will be no conductor on board, so the rear door operates as a normal door. I give you some basic advice during the Bus Strike. If you like to know what bus route is running on your bus stop or to see how many buses are running on your route. I recommend you to use London Vehicle Finder  which I reviewed . You can use London Vehicle Finder on your smartphone, then enter in the route number and press go. For example, Route 148, you see there are 13 buses operating on the route according to the screenshot. You see how many buses there are on your bus route. If you want to see the buses running at your bus stop, You can by simply typing down the bus stop code where your located and press go. For example, I am at Bedford Street at Strand travelling towards Trafalgar Square, I find the bus stop code above the bus stop panel. Once I entered in the bus stop code onto London Vehicle Finder, it shows when the next bus is arriving at the stop. On 13 th January 2015, London bus drivers to hold industrial action over pay and conditions. TfL issued a press release. Transport for London (TfL) has today advised bus passengers to check the TfL website for the latest information about planned strike action by members of the Unite union, who work for London's bus companies, which could affect bus services on Tuesday 13 January. The planned strike, the result of a dispute between Unite and the bus companies over driver pay and conditions, is planned to take place between 00:01 and 23:59 on Tuesday 13 January. This would affect services throughout Tuesday 13 January and also night bus services operating on the Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Bus services during the day on Wednesday 14 January should operate as normal. Less than 16% of the bus drivers in London voted in favour of industrial action but, should the strike take place, services across London will be patchy with some areas affected more than others.
